Theme of the Show: Supporting My Pet at End of Life
Guest: Dixie Golins, Holistic Healer for Animals and People; Life Coach – www.theoceanwithin.ca
Lead Host: Sharon Simpson
For twenty-five years, Dixie Golins has been providing life coaching and support for animals and their people. She offers gentle, effective and respectful treatments for those who are seeking greater peace in the grief of the loss of an animal friend, if you are feeling regrets about end-of-life decisions you made for your animal or if you are feeling disconnected from the animal you loved who has died.
Sharon Simpson spends her days providing leadership and service to elderly seniors at BC’s largest campus of care, Menno Place, in Abbotsford, BC. More than 700 seniors live on the campus receiving levels of support, including medical, spiritual, dietary, recreational and relational support. Sharon draws strength and wisdom from this amazing group of elders – most of whom are in their 80’s and 90’s. It’s no surprise to these seniors that they are coming to the end of their time on earth. Death, dying and loss is an important part of conversations on the campus – with seniors and their families.
You can read Sharon Simpson’s articles on seniors in The Light Magazine, the Abbotsford News, The Garden Park Journal and at the BC Care Providers website.
